Type 017 is a strongly colouring powdered chromium(III) oxide green pigment for colouring concrete, cement, mortar and other compatible mineral compounds.

It is suitable for art, design, decorative casting, crafts and construction projects. The pigment can be used to colour the entire mix, cast coloured figures, create marble and layered effects, apply thin coloured surface layers or prepare cement-based decorative paints. The final green shade depends on:

Dosage

The manufacturer's maximum recommended dosage for concrete and cement-based mortars is:

up to 5% of the cement weight in the mix.

For example:

• if 100 kg of concrete contains approximately 20 kg of cement;
• 5% of 20 kg = 1 kg of pigment;
• the maximum recommended dosage would therefore be approximately 1 kg per 100 kg of this concrete mix.

The 5% recommendation refers to the cement content, not the total weight of the concrete.

How to Use

The manufacturer recommends mixing the pigment into the dry compound before adding water.

1. Weigh the required amount of pigment.
2. Add it to the dry concrete, mortar or compatible mineral compound.
3. Mix thoroughly until the pigment is evenly distributed.
4. Add the specified amount of water.
5. Mix and cast as usual.
