Casting Tools & Supplies

The right tools make it easier to measure accurately, mix thoroughly and cast consistently with Jesmonite®, plaster, concrete and other casting materials. This category includes supplies for the entire creative process – from measuring ingredients and mixing colours to reducing air bubbles, modelling, finishing and demoulding.

Measuring & Mixing

Silicone measuring cups and spatulas are particularly convenient for preparing smaller quantities of casting materials. Flexible silicone is easy to clean, while different cup sizes make it easier to prepare both the main mixture and smaller coloured batches.

• 100 ml, 250 ml and 750 ml silicone measuring cups;

• 3 ml pipettes for more precise dosing of liquids and pigments.

Reducing Air Bubbles

A vibrating table helps the mixture settle into the mould and encourages trapped air bubbles to rise to the surface, helping create a smoother and less porous finish.

The need for vibration depends on the material used. For example, FLUP® PCE-104 is designed for self-compacting concrete, and the manufacturer specifies that this type of concrete should not be additionally vibrated.

Modelling & Finishing

Modelling tools, loop tools and spatulas are useful for refining edges, shaping surfaces, creating textures and carrying out detailed finishing work.

A flat varnish brush can be used to apply primers, varnishes, protective coatings and other liquid surface treatments.

Mould Release

PLOPP is a mould release agent for concrete casting that helps cured concrete separate more easily from compatible mould and formwork surfaces.

Please note that the manufacturer specifically states that PLOPP is not suitable for silicone moulds. It is intended for surfaces such as polyurethane moulds, coated boards and other compatible mould-making materials.

Concrete Additives

FLUP® PCE-104 is a powdered polycarboxylate ether (PCE) superplasticiser designed to improve concrete flow and help produce self-compacting concrete with reduced water requirements.

Mould-Making Materials

Formaform is an elastic rubber material for creating custom moulds. It is useful when you want to reproduce an original object or relief and a ready-made silicone mould is not suitable for the project.
