Jesmonite® AC84 Base & Liquid

Jesmonite® AC84 is a fast-setting, acrylic polymer-modified cementitious casting system developed for decorative and creative projects.

AC84 combines the refined appearance associated with Jesmonite® castings with the strength of a cement-based composite. Its low viscosity makes it easy to mix and pour into moulds, while the fluid mixture flows well into finer mould details.

AC84 can be used to create smooth or textured surfaces, concrete-effect décor, trays, bowls, candle holders, figurines, small sculptures, garden decorations and other cast objects. The manufacturer specifies AC84 as suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects.

Two-Component System

Jesmonite® AC84 consists of:

• Jesmonite® AC84 Base – cement- and mineral-based powder;
• Jesmonite® AC84 Liquid – acrylic polymer liquid.

The components are mixed at a ratio of:

5 parts Base : 1 part Liquid by weight.

What Is Jesmonite® AC84 Suitable For?

Jesmonite® also specifies AC84 as suitable for home décor, candle holders, interior wall panels and art projects.

Colour & Decorative Possibilities

Jesmonite® AC84 can be coloured with Jesmonite® liquid pigments. The pigments can be mixed together to create custom shades, solid colours, marbling and other decorative effects.

The manufacturer specifies a maximum Jesmonite® pigment addition of 2% of the total mix weight. For outdoor projects, it should be taken into account that pigments are not completely UV-resistant, so colours may gradually change over time.

Outdoor Use

AC84 has been tested for resistance to environmental exposure. Technical documentation specifies resistance to 300 freeze-thaw cycles and 1008 hours of weathering exposure without significant changes.

This makes AC84 suitable for both interior and outdoor decorative projects, such as garden ornaments and small sculptures.

AC84, AC100 or AC730?

Choose AC100 if your priority is very smooth decorative castings, vivid colours, marble or terrazzo effects.

Choose AC84 if you want an easy-to-cast, strong concrete-character composite suitable for both indoor and outdoor décor.

Choose AC730 if you need a more pronounced stone / micro-concrete appearance, very low permeability or more demanding use in outdoor and damp environments.
