Jesmonite® AC100 Base & Liquid

Jesmonite® AC100 is a water-based, two-component acrylic polymer and mineral-base casting system designed for decorative casting, art, design and interior projects.

AC100 is particularly suitable for making trays, bowls, candle holders, decorative vessels, figurines, sculptures, wall décor and other cast objects. The material reproduces fine mould details well and allows you to achieve a smooth, matt finish.

Jesmonite® AC100 can be used in its natural colour or coloured with Jesmonite® pigments to create marble, terrazzo, layered and other decorative effects.

Two-Component System

Two components are required to prepare Jesmonite® AC100:

• Jesmonite® AC100 Base – mineral-based powder;
• Jesmonite® AC100 Liquid – water-based acrylic liquid.

The components are mixed at a ratio of:

2.5 parts Base : 1 part Liquid by weight.

For example, 2.5 kg of Base requires 1 kg of AC100 Liquid.

Our range includes AC100 Base and Liquid separately, as well as ready-to-use DUOSET kits, with both components supplied in the correct proportions.

Jesmonite® AC100 Properties

• water-based, two-component system;
• solvent-free with low VOC content;
• suitable for casting and laminating;

• fast-setting;
• good abrasion and impact resistance;

• Mixing ratio: 2.5 : 1 (Base : Liquid by weight)
• Initial set: 15–20 minutes at 18 °C without Retarder
• Compressive strength: 25–30 MPa
• Dry density: 1745 kg/m³
• Wet density: 1845 kg/m³
• Reaction to fire classification: EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0

Outdoor Use

Jesmonite® AC100 is particularly popular for interior projects, but the manufacturer also specifies that it can be used outdoors when the surface is properly protected with a suitable sealer or paint system. This helps preserve the appearance of the finished piece when exposed to environmental conditions.

Please note that Jesmonite® materials have not been tested for food-contact use, so trays, bowls or other items made from AC100 should not automatically be considered food-safe.
