The right surface treatment helps decorative castings maintain their appearance and reduces their susceptibility to water, dirt, oils, stains and environmental exposure.

This category includes protective coatings for Jesmonite® and decorative concrete, concrete impregnators and finishing waxes for both functional protection and final surface finishing.

COLORTEC® MAX & COLORFRESH® intensiv

COLORTEC® MAX and COLORFRESH® intensiv are acrylic protective treatments suitable for decorative concrete and Jesmonite® surfaces. They repel water and dirt, help protect against staining and weathering, and can be used for both interior and exterior applications.

COLORTEC® MAX penetrates the surface and leaves an almost invisible matt finish.

COLORFRESH® intensiv provides surface protection while also enhancing colour and creating a subtle satin sheen.

Both are particularly suitable for Jesmonite® AC100 and AC730 and absorbent decorative concrete surfaces.

Protection for Candle Vessels

COLORTEC® MAX and COLORFRESH® intensiv have been used for protecting the inside surfaces of Jesmonite® and mineral-based candle vessels. However, neither these coatings nor Jesmonite® AC100 itself is completely resistant to prolonged high-temperature exposure, so some discolouration or surface changes may occur inside the vessel.

Every finished candle construction should therefore be individually burn-tested. Vessel shape, wall thickness, wax, wick, fragrance load and protective coating can all influence performance during burning.

Concrete Impregnators

H10 Concrete Impregnation is designed to penetrate porous concrete surfaces and reduce water penetration while preserving the natural appearance of the concrete.

Impregnators are particularly useful for planters, trays, garden décor and other porous concrete objects.

Concrete & Jesmonite® Waxes

Wax can be used as a final surface treatment to enhance colour, add a subtle sheen and provide additional surface protection.

Our range includes:

• B-WAX – a beeswax-based treatment that gives concrete and Jesmonite® a silky sheen;
• C-WAX – a polishable carnauba wax-based finish for indoor concrete and Jesmonite® surfaces;
• CLARK'S Stone & Concrete Wax – a blend of beeswax and carnauba wax for protecting and enhancing concrete, stone and Jesmonite® surfaces.

Which Finish Should You Choose?

• COLORTEC® MAX – for a natural-looking, matt and nearly invisible protective finish.
• COLORFRESH® intensiv – for protection combined with enhanced colour and a satin sheen.
• H10 Impregnation – for porous concrete when a penetrating treatment is preferred.
• B-WAX, C-WAX or CLARK'S Wax – for final finishing, colour enhancement and a smoother surface feel.
