KREUL Golden Elegance is a complete creative set for decorative gilding with ultra-thin gold-coloured metal leaf. The set contains the essential materials needed to prepare the surface, apply the metal leaf and protect the finished decoration, so you can start your project straight away without having to purchase additional tools.

The set is suitable for a variety of interior and DIY projects, including picture frames, wooden objects, cards and other decorative items. The metal leaf creates a bright, glossy golden metallic effect.

Both KREUL Primer for Leaf Metal and Coating Varnish for Leaf Metal are water-based. The set includes two different brushes for separate stages of the process: the dark-bristle brush is used for applying the primer and protective varnish, while the light, soft-bristle brush is designed for applying the metal leaf.

How to Use

1. The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease.
2. Apply KREUL Primer for Leaf Metal using the dark-bristle brush.
3. Leave to dry for approximately 20 minutes, until the primer becomes transparent.
4. Place the metal leaf onto the prepared surface and gently press it down with the dry, light-bristle brush.
5. Carefully remove excess metal leaf with a brush or soft cloth.
6. Leave to dry for at least 12 hours, then gently polish the surface with a soft polishing cloth.
7. After several days, apply KREUL Coating Varnish for Leaf Metal to help protect the metallic surface from corrosion.

If the decorated object will be used outdoors, or on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, terracotta or clay, the manufacturer recommends using KREUL Zapon Varnish.
