KREUL Primer Marker for Leaf Metal is a water-based adhesive marker for metal leaf and metal flakes, designed for precise decoration, fine ornaments, lines and lettering.

The marker is filled with a special adhesive required for applying KREUL Leaf Metal and Metallic Slices. Its chisel tip makes it easy to control the line width – from finer details to bolder lettering.

It is a convenient alternative to liquid primer when you only want to decorate selected areas of a surface and create patterns, outlines, initials, ornaments or text.

How to Use

1. The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease.
2. Shake the marker well before use.
3. Press the tip several times until the adhesive starts to flow.
4. Draw the desired pattern, ornament or lettering.
5. Allow the adhesive to dry for approximately 20 minutes.
6. Highly absorbent surfaces should be coated twice.
7. Place the metal leaf or flakes onto the adhesive-coated area and gently press them down with a soft, dry brush.
8. Carefully remove excess material with a brush or soft cloth.
9. Leave to dry for at least 12 hours, then gently polish the surface with a soft cloth or cotton wool.

Close the marker securely after use.

After several days, it is recommended to protect the decorated surface with KREUL Coating Varnish for Leaf Metal.

If the decorated object will be used outdoors, or on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, terracotta or clay, the manufacturer recommends using KREUL Zapon Varnish.
