If you love sea animals or have someone who loves sharks, this is a wonderful amigurumi project for you to crochet.

Designed by Milva Handicrafts from Portugal, especially with the 14th of July in mind, as it is Shark Awareness Day. A day to change attitudes towards sharks and raise awareness of these animals and what they do for marine ecosystems.

Sharks maintain the balance of life in the ocean by feeding on other animals, especially medium-sized predators that would otherwise overpopulate and kill off smaller species. You can help protect sharks by avoiding all products derived from sharks (dishes containing shark fin, beauty products such as soap and make-up containing squalene, and leather items made from shagreen).

This DIY crochet pattern assumes that you have experience in amigurumi crochet and are able to read crochet patterns.

This kit contains

• 1x Eco Barbante Solid Gris 100g
• 1x Eco Barbante Solid Lotus 50g
• 4 mm crochet hook
• Leftover Eco Barbante Noir for the embroidery pattern

You will also need:

• Recycled cotton stuffing (approx 32g)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
• Sewing needles
