KREUL Leaf Metal Copper consists of ultra-thin copper-coloured metal leaf sheets designed for decorative surface embellishment and creating a bright metallic effect. The warm copper tone gives decorated objects an elegant, glossy finish and helps transform simple items into distinctive interior accents.

The metal leaf can be used on a wide range of surfaces, including wood, glass, paper, canvas, cardboard, plastic, wax, ceramics, porcelain, dried concrete, terracotta, metal, leather and other materials.

For best results, use the metal leaf together with KREUL Primer for Leaf Metal. The finished decoration should be protected with KREUL Coating Varnish for Leaf Metal.

How to Use

1. The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease.
2. Apply KREUL Primer for Leaf Metal and allow it to dry until transparent – for at least 20 minutes.
3. Carefully place the metal leaf onto the prepared surface.
4. Gently press it down with a soft, dry brush.
5. Carefully remove excess metal leaf with a brush or soft cloth.
6. Leave to dry for at least 12 hours, then gently polish the surface with a soft polishing cloth or cotton wool.
7. After several days, apply KREUL Coating Varnish for Leaf Metal to help protect the metallic decoration from corrosion.

For outdoor decorations and surfaces such as concrete, plaster, terracotta or clay, the manufacturer recommends using KREUL Zapon Varnish.
