Jesmonite® Casting Materials

Jesmonite® products are supplied directly from the official European Jesmonite® distribution centre in Belgium. Jesmonite® is manufactured in the United Kingdom, while the official European hub centralises product distribution for retailers across Europe.

Jesmonite® is a professional range of two-component casting materials used in art, design, architecture and decorative object making. It is particularly popular for creating smooth, matt surfaces and stone, concrete, marble or terrazzo effects, as well as for use with pigments and decorative aggregates.

Jesmonite® can be used to create trays, bowls, candle holders, decorative vessels, plant pots, figurines, sculptures, wall décor, interior accessories and many other cast objects.

Different Jesmonite® systems have different properties, so the right material should be selected according to the intended use of the finished object.

Jesmonite® AC100

AC100 is a water-based, two-component acrylic polymer and mineral-base system, particularly suitable for decorative casting.

It is a good choice for creating coloured, marble-effect or terrazzo-effect pieces, smooth trays, decorative bowls, figurines, candle holders and other interior objects.

AC100 reproduces fine mould details well and can be coloured with Jesmonite® pigments. For outdoor projects, the manufacturer recommends using a suitable protective coating or paint system.

Jesmonite® AC84

AC84 is a fast-setting, acrylic polymer-modified cement-based composite designed for creative casting projects.

Its low viscosity allows the mixture to flow easily and evenly. AC84 is suitable for both smooth and textured surfaces, decorative castings, small sculptures, garden ornaments and concrete-effect objects.

According to the manufacturer’s technical information, AC84 is weather-resistant and suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects.

Jesmonite® AC730

AC730 is an acrylic polymer-modified cement-based composite, particularly suitable when a stone or microcement effect and greater resistance to environmental exposure are required.

It can be used for decorative castings, sculptures, outdoor elements, planters, architectural details and other projects. AC730 has low permeability and is designed for outdoor use; the manufacturer also specifies it as suitable for water-feature applications.

Colours, Terrazzo & Decorative Effects

Jesmonite® materials can be customised with pigments, glass aggregates, decorative fillers, metal powders, marbling techniques and terrazzo effects.

Official Jesmonite® liquid pigments can be mixed with one another and are compatible with AC100, AC730 and AC84 systems. The manufacturer specifies a maximum pigment addition of 2% of the total mix weight.

How to Choose Jesmonite®

If you want a smooth, coloured, marble-effect or terrazzo-effect interior piece, AC100 is usually the best choice.

If you want a concrete-style material that is easy to cast for indoor or outdoor decorative projects, consider AC84.

If you need a stone effect, outdoor suitability or greater resistance to environmental exposure, choose AC730.

Always follow the specific Jesmonite® system’s mixing ratios, working time, curing and surface protection recommendations, as the technical parameters of AC100, AC84 and AC730 differ.
