CAPOSIL is a colourless, single-component silicone resin-based protective coating for concrete, natural stone and other suitable mineral surfaces.

The coating remains vapour-permeable while helping protect the surface against the penetration of water, oil, grease, dirt and stains. CAPOSIL offers good abrasion and heat resistance, is non-yellowing and highly resistant to weathering.

Strong Colour-Enhancing Effect

CAPOSIL significantly deepens and intensifies the colour of mineral surfaces. Concrete will usually appear noticeably darker and richer after treatment.

Depending on the application method, you can achieve:

• a glossier finish by leaving the applied coating on the surface;
• a matt finish by wiping away excess material with a cloth a few minutes after application.

Silicone Resin-Based Formula

Unlike many epoxy, acrylic or polyurethane coatings, CAPOSIL is based on silicone resin. It is solvent-free, colourless and non-yellowing.

Suitable For

CAPOSIL can be used on:

• decorative concrete;
• casting concrete;
• natural stone;
• mineral decorative objects;
• trays and decorative vessels;
• planters;
• sculptures;
• indoor and outdoor mineral surfaces.

Application

The substrate must be clean, dry and free from dust. Concrete should have a maximum residual moisture content of 4% before application. Stir the product thoroughly before use.

CAPOSIL can be applied using:

• a brush;
• a short-pile roller;
• an airless sprayer.

Apply 2–3 coats, allowing approximately 24 hours between coats. After the final application, allow the coated surface to dry for approximately 24 hours in a well-ventilated area.

Important

CAPOSIL can noticeably darken and intensify the colour of concrete and natural stone, so a small test area is recommended before treating the entire object.

For areas of approximately 1 m² or more, ensure good ventilation. The manufacturer's safety data sheet also states that the product may cause an allergic skin reaction; suitable protective gloves should therefore be worn and contact with skin and eyes avoided.
